Popular boy band Super Junior just can't seem to avoid undergoing controversy as another one of their members, Shindong, has faced criticism for a comment he made during the broadcasting of MBC radio station Shim Shim Tapa. On the 29th, a female listener revealed to the radio station that she recently fought with her boyfriend because of her decision to go on a diet. When she shared with him her diet plans for the new year, he told her, "Don't start if you're only going to quit after a few days. Your body isn't the type to change with a diet." Kim Shin Young, who co-hosts the radio station, stated, "To a girl, a negative comment about her weight is equivalent to asking for a punch." The Super Junior chubster then commented, "If someone had to lose weight, I would tell that person to lose weight. Lose some weight, why can't you take care of yourself. When I say this, the person might think, 'Look who's talking,' but I would reply, 'I'm a boy and you're a girl.'"

Well, its not like his group is hot right now so I'm sure he's not coming back to being at the apex of his popularity. Super Junior aint Big Bang. (not that Big Bang isn't much better in terms of being problematic.)

the second was me exaggerating a bit haha but it did come across as very :S at the time. it was shindong asking yongguk about his future, and yongguk saying that he wanted to adopt children. i remember shindongs exact words being something like WELL I KNOW YOU HAVE GOOD INTENTIONS BUT YOUR WIFE WILL HAVE TO AGREE, which sounds like shindong expects yongguk to marry someone hot who doesn't believe in the same things he does, because shindong would marry a lamp post if it had an s line and thinks everyone would do the same. you know, cuz why marry a woman who has the same expectations in a relationship as you when you can bag arm candy.
