Omg are you me - I don't get why ppl say just right/A weren't good songs because honestly I think got7 fits the playful boyfriend concepts of those songs a lot better then the hip hop style they've been trying for since debut.
Me too, but sadly the boys seems to like more this type of songs than the ones like Just Right/A U_U I didn't start as a fan for their music so I guess whatever makes them happy I'm fine with it.
JYPE should have let these boys take over back in 2014 instead of waiting so long to give them more artistic freedom.
I love them all. And I love Hard Carry already. I can't believe I'm saying it but it seriously reminded me of 2009 esque boygroup sounds mixed with the current mainstream, and that juxtaposition is something I've linked with GOT7 since A days. Fly was the only step back from that and I'm glad they are back in the game.
This album might beat MAD as my favorite one yet. We shall wait and see.

Identify is my least favorite album, so I'm glad it doesn't sound like Identify.
During the first three promotion cycles they just followed what they had to do, now with Flight Log and Turbulence I can hear members' own styles and I love it. Cute concepts were never what they liked.
People said Just Right wasn't a good song? What kind of bs?... I'm sorry, I'm super defensive about JR. That song was experimental gone right in every way.
They definitely like hiphop a lot more than bright and cheery, but I'm not too sad about this development because I feel GOT7 are too self aware about fan preference to not dip into brights concept again. They seem to be switching off between the two either way .

I think some people are hoping that they come with bad songs so they can laugh at them. So when they release something and have a small little hype, they feels threaten? Idk. I don't care, pop music supposed to be enjoyable to my ears and subjective. If it's the genre I like, doesn't matter coming from who, I'll like it and jam to it. People think too much when it comes to Kpop. Kpop should be fun, just enjoy ~~
I think boys don't like the cute stuff and i understand it, but i think it's possible to find a middle ground between just right!got7 and hard carry!got7, that would be both suitable for them and really unique. I thought they were going in this kind of direction with Fly, it wasnt cute, but it wasnt very dark and hiphopish either, but oh well :/
from this i'm only interested in prove it and maybe hey and who's that. there's so many songs they kinda blended in together. to me all got7 songs have a certain sound or way they're produced idk how to put it in words, the electronic, autotuney vibe, it's not really my thing, so i couldn't get into them, but i can definitely recognise it as ~their sound. just right and if you do were kinda different and those are my faves

Sigh. I love got7 with all my little heart. They'd always been low key on my radar because I enjoyed them on programmes but every time I tried to get into their music I was super let down and could only really bop to their title tracks and a song here or there. Fly was the first album that I can honestly say that I liked every song - to different extents but at least every song was enjoyable in some kind of way? I genuinely thought this was going to be their moment - they've been steadily improving since Just Right but I feel like they've taken a step backwards.
I'll wait for the full album to make up my mind but this spoiler gives off a very confused vibe. Like it's such a mixed bag of songs. The ones i have hope for are: Prove It, Hey, My Home, Who's That and Let me. I feel like 만약에 and 아파 could be really pretty. The rest... they have that trademark choppy almost overproduced (?) sound that i've come to associate with got7.
Hearing more of Hard Carry has essentially killed my hopes that this is going to hit it big. I hope I'm wrong but I doubt it. I shall continue stanning these visually slaying, hilarious boys just most likely not musically.
mte. Just right is my favorite album of theirs and idt they're bad at the darker stuff per se but the lighter, younger ones suit them better. I know they don't like these concepts but maybe they could hit some sort of middle ground that they feel comfortable with.
I liked the previous snippet of hard carry, but I'm not really feeling it here? and everything just sort of blended together. -_-;; Hmm... hopefully the full songs will hit me better.
I only like Prove It right now.... I've actually liked all their titles except A and maybe Fly, but I get why none of their songs have taken off that well yet. I also think that the album spoiler makes HC seem maybe not as fun/good as the choreo teaser made it out to be.
I completely agree with you. Ever since GOT7 released comeback teasers for this comeback they've been getting so much hate from other fandoms. It has never happened before. But there are also many fans of NTC, EXO, Ikon, Black Pink who say they're excited for GOT7's release for the first time. It looks like there's hype.
