Frankly I don't like this guy that much but i think it's worth watching, he explains everything nicely. You can always use it when someone tries to put down your faves with some shitty MR removed video :P
I watched this the other day and only lasted until the midway point of the first vid, but the first 5 minutes are pretty much all you need to know anyway. Very informative.

i've never understood why people take mr removed so seriously and think it actually proves anything. when i first got into kpop i read an article on kpopalypse or sth like that which explained what mr removed actually does and it was interesting. a lot of it is done amateurish too and it may warp the actual sounds. it really is just something to use as a pissing contest among fans lol if you really wanna know if someone can sing, let them stand there and sing, with a good sound system (not like the ones on music shows lol). it's why shows like king of masked singer can give you a totally different image
I agree with this. Tbh I don't even need an article or video to tell me that MR removed videos aren't legit. I used to go through random ones and it often was so distorted and badly done technically it was ridiculous.
i understand that mr removed vids can't prove someone is singing live/can sing but idg how ppl use it to defend their faves who cant sing live. if ur fave sounds awful in an mr removed, then that just means they can't sing live. just accept it and stop getting so offended. it's not a big deal. this is kpop/pop music in general so.... who cares? lmfao.

The most I ever used MR removed videos was with live DB5K performances back in the day, usually ballads with minimal instrumentals, because some of them turned into really nice acappellas, which I love. Otherwise useless for determining a quality live vocal or not.
Most everyone is using pre-recorded 'live' vocals these days. Can't tell shit from that.
