So this is for a kpop comeback or a movie trailer? This quality right here!!!
Jaebum was doing the least amount of effort to play. I feel you JB.
I don't even going to try to understand what is happening, I'm just going to wait for the MV and enjoy whatever it is. But I hope it's not like last time that the trailer was amazing and then the MV was a really big let down.
That got very dark... is everyone dead? did jinyoung survive a plane/car crash?
That short preview sounds like every other forgettable electronica song that JYPE's been releasing lately though. I hope it's actually good, and that it comes with an interesting MV. Fly had next to zero rewatch value for me.

And he kept saying how he'll go back to the old Jaebum...pft not if he's this lazy and enjoying his own laziness.
Yeah, there better be a better explanation or something. I mean, I like the Fly mv with their dancing and all, but I mean you have a lot of materials for a storyline mv!
Same, the last BTS post I entered, it scars me, gave me headaches with a bunch of theories in every post.
very curious how this is gonna sound, it's alot darker in tone than fly and i hope the album reflects that (tho i love cute got7 too). this trailer was really well produced + i love watching jinyoung act, so. hope the mv delivers bc the fly mv was a bit of a letdown - most of the footage we'd already seen.
random but i love that storyline mv's are making a comeback recently in kpop. i missed them. the eye was super cool and i love the overarching narratives that exo and bts have done.
BTS's MVs theories it's what makes me don't even want to try with this lol
I don't follow BTS but I think it was when they released "I Need U" that after watching the MV I thought of reading some comments to try to understand what was going on and I was so confused. Then when they also released "Run" I read a couple more and it was even worst so I don't want to do that again hahaha
Interesting. I'm just trying not to get myself hyped. I was really excited for Fly, cause the trailer was just as well made and intriguing as this, but the MV was kind of a let down. So plain. Nothing really about the story. Just dancing, which was okay, but I could only watch those drone shots so many times. So if I'm not hyped, maybe I'll end up liking whatever they give us. haha
I don't really understand how it all is supposed to connect together but holy shit did Got7 take a dark turn concept-wise and I love it. I hope the MV holds up to the intensity of the trailer, all the good story-elements they got going on were so criminally under-utilized in the Fly MV, please JYPE don't leave us hanging this time!
Anyhow I'M SO EXCITED and holy shit did y'all see Jinyoung and his amazing acting skills? That scene at the end and his expression... wow.
Not complaining at more Jinyoung this comeback haha Hope they'll take at least a fraction of the time it took them to create the trailer to make the actual video a little more interesting because fly was so dull honestly
Considering how the others were just playing around unbothered on a moving plane, it's obvious they weren't really there, and they've NEVER been there since Fly. Question is, what happened to the others? And I'm guessing Jinyoung was reflecting on a memory or imagining they were there? Not sure.
I think the storyline is pretty straightforward? They were taking a road trip but got into a car crash and all members except Jinyoung passed away. Fly was basically him revisiting old memories and not being able to come to terms with the fact that they are gone (trying to learn how to 'fly' when he can't). This comeback seems to follow the same trajectory. The plane scene is more a metaphor for his emotions rather than an actual 'event'. He has learnt to accept they are gone and simply lives with their memories. However, any 'turbulance' in his life throws him back to the day he lost them (hence why he looks completely unscathed at the scene of the crash - he isn't actually there, he was triggered to remember). You see him unbuckle his seatbelt and reach for them as soon as the seatbelt sign turns on. I thought that was pretty telling. The first thing I thought of when I saw the trailer was "PTSD".
This is also what I got from it. They still should have had more storyline in the Fly mv but I still got the impression from it they were all dead except Jinyoung because he couldn't fly. I thought he was in a coma or something and jumping off the building would bring him back to reality which lines up with him reliving the event rather than actually being at the scene of the accident at the end.
Honestly they'd better just deliver with the mv this time because they have this dramatic emotional storyline to use, I don't need all the dance scenes again.
hopefully this time they'll do a better job of telling a story than the fly mv did (which was pretty much an enhanced dance vid), the artist formerly known as junior deserves some more time to shine
