> WHO: MBLAQ Yang Seung Ho (28), 'A' Agency Representative Mr. L
> WHEN: Sept. 11, 2015 around 3AM
> WHERE: High-end bar in Shinsadong, Seoul
> WHAT: Yang Seung Ho has been assualted by L, who had been a representitve of the past agency
> WHY: Yang Seung Ho and L used to work together in JTunes Camp together. L has left the agency two years ago. He is currently the head of a small entertainment agency A
> HOW: Assault occurs while drinking alcohol inside the bar. L, during a heated argument with Seung Ho, assaults the first time him for "being impertinent" with a (wine) glass. Assaults him later once more by the roadside the second time.

> D-Fact:
The Assault Case with Yang Seung Ho as the Victim. It was actually a much more serious situation than reported. At least five police cars were present after the report. About ten policemen were dispatched to the scene, and they were able to arrest L after a physical fight.
According to Yang Seung Ho, the assualt began inside the private room at the bar. L raised the glass and smashed it against Seung Ho's head. Frightened, Seung Ho called 112.
L was not able to calm down easily. The violence continued outside the bar. According to a witness, during a phone call with Dispatch, reported that he/she "saw L assaulting Seung Ho. He was holding a bottle of liquor" and that "there was blood trickling down Seung Ho's head."
It took quite some time for the police to put down L by force; L was resisting too much. The witness stated that aroung ten policemen had to pounce on him to make the arrest.
According to an associate from MBLAQ's agency on the afternoon of 11th, "there was some slight misunderstanding after drinking and getting together for the first time in awhile" and that "Yang Seung Ho does not want any punishment for L."
A representative from Gangnam Police Station revealed that they "have arrested L without detainment" and that "the victim currently does not want any punishment." They plan to investigate the incident further as needed.

there are pictures on dispatch site if you want to look at them.

rme HARD at "seung ho not wanting punishment." even if he said that it's likely due to the fact that even at another agency L has hold over seung ho. ugh, power trip.

*breathing heavily* Reading that really pissed me off. I started to Hulk transform by the time I got to the smashing of the glass against Seungho's head. It's seriously angering on so many levels, because even if the guy has no power over him professionally, he's for sure older than Seungho, and he has that power over him. Seungho won't disrespect him, even when he was being assaulted. That's so unfair.

Also, thank you for the Wx5, it made everything easy to read. The fact that Seungho called the police, apparently watered down what actually happened, but won't press charges. Exactly WHO is this representative?

I'm really hesitant to jump to conclusions about the Jisoo thing, if only because The Fact (formerly known as SportsSeoul) is a tabloid with zero ethics and has falsified information in the past. :S

Why he wouldn't? Because this man has some info about him, his company or group? Must be. Ugh.

What is this... Seungho really doesn't want punishment for the guy who hit him over the head with a wine glass and made him bleed? The details of this case seem very cut-and-dry so if A doesn't get some kind of punishment, it's really gonna be ridiculous

Chopin oppa nooooooo sue his ass to oblivion......

What is the truth about this? http://netizenbuzz.blogspot.com/2015/09/the-fact-gets-exclusive-interview-with.html

I see! I understand. It's so confusing but that's what has always been bugging me in the back of my head e_e

Like when scandals occur, I am quite cynical so I always wonder if there's anything that's being hidden cause of big companies and what not.

We'll see how it goes, sorry for bothering you!

do you know if defamation in korea requires a false element, bc it's defined differently everywhere like sometimes it's a synonym for libel sometimes it's its own thing

[identity profile] pbutterlion.livejournal.com 2015-09-11 06:02 pm (UTC)(link)
i know nothing abt legal stuff in sk so im def just assuming woollim has enough power to accuse her of defamation?? its all assumptions but i think this has to do with company power vs a non celeb with no connections?

[identity profile] iznanassi.livejournal.com 2015-09-11 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
defamation can be just spreading information with the intent to make someone look bad, or spreading FALSE information to make someone look bad. so if it's the second it would make sense bc they'd be losing a lot if it's all about nothing, but if it's the first that's def an abuse of the power differential between them.

but yeah either way it's about silencing her i guess if this is all real.

From wikipedia: "In Korea true and false statements are punishable criminally and civilly with defamation; any words harming another can be considered illegal and may be punishable with fines and imprisonment up to seven years"

[identity profile] hurtmybones.livejournal.com 2015-09-11 04:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm afraid Seungho's career is basically fucked after this even if he is giving in to pressure and not seeking punishment :( and I see g.o doesn't have anything to say about this, hmmmmmmmmmm. run free Seungho!

What the hell! If you hit someone with a bottle you need to go to jail!

[identity profile] pseudo-shigure.livejournal.com 2015-09-11 05:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Isn't assault a crime that has to be processed whether the victim wants the perpetrator to be punished or not?

[identity profile] kyokomurasaki.livejournal.com 2015-09-11 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
It can be either depending on the situation. I put on my internet lawyer glasses and this case seems like battery rather than assault; whether it's criminal or civil depends on whether the accused intended to cause the other person harm (which in this case certainly seems to be true.) I don't have a law degree and I don't really know anything about law in Korea, but it seems like this would probably be treated as a criminal case in the U.S. I have a bad feeling they'll probably let this other guy off the hook though (maybe a fine or something) since Seungho doesn't seem to want to press charges.

Run Seungho!
RUN!

[identity profile] sra-interesante.livejournal.com 2015-09-11 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
no way .... Seungho why you want to protect this guy???

[identity profile] seroquels.livejournal.com 2015-09-11 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
*Blood boiling*

I'm not surprised he's not pressing charges, but I really wish he would. This is NOT okay behavior, drunk or not.
