Plot: Kim Tae Hyeon (Joo Won) is a talented surgeon. Desperate for money to pay his sister's medical bills, he adopts the code name Yong Pal and offers his medical skills to those in need of medical attention but who cannot do so publicly, dealing with gangsters and corrupt plutocrats. It is while making such a house call that Tae Hyeon rescues "sleeping beauty" Han Yeo Jin (Kim Tae Hee), a chaebol heiress, from a medically-induced coma, leading to unintended consequences.

the ending being a let down is a risk with any and every kdrama tbh. esp since 98% use a liveshoot system which means something can start out great and then speed itself right off a cliff in just a few eps because of last minute script changes or backstage antics or bureaucratic/executive meddling. My point is you gotta decide if its a worth it or not lol. I would say so far I am watching Yong Pal tenatively, it has ALOT of potential to be either very good or very bad depending on how it goes on from here. I remain cautiously optimistic. There's alot of dramas I've gone into expecting a clusterfuck and it actually turned out to be excellent from nearly start to finish, and just so i've gone into many dramas with high expectations only to be letdown at every turn.

tl;dr version: Yes check it out, but its entirely possible the show will go tits up in the next handful of eps. for now I remain positive lol.
