Plot: Kim Tae Hyeon (Joo Won) is a talented surgeon. Desperate for money to pay his sister's medical bills, he adopts the code name Yong Pal and offers his medical skills to those in need of medical attention but who cannot do so publicly, dealing with gangsters and corrupt plutocrats. It is while making such a house call that Tae Hyeon rescues "sleeping beauty" Han Yeo Jin (Kim Tae Hee), a chaebol heiress, from a medically-induced coma, leading to unintended consequences.

i didn't like that line and it seemed left field considering everything, but there's still a world of a difference between calling someone out for surrounding his/herself with crappy people and having their own ulterior motives and don't be drunk and slutty.

I don't know if you're being deliberately naive or not...rarely would someone directly say stop being drunk or slutty...they point out the person's actions leading up to the event as a way to imply that and blame them for what happened. It's still saying the exact same thing.

The blame lies on the rapist and no one else

the line wasn't about her rape and/or assault. it was addressing her taking her taking it out anger on innocent lives.

ia that he should've said she shouldn't blame herself, but i don't think what we're supposed to take away from that scene is that she is to blame as well.

no one is disputing holding the rapist fully responsible.

He literally said you are wrong too for walking in that room and now you feel guilty...so I don't know how you are seeing it any other way. We'll have to agree to disagree

i 100% respect and wholeheartedly appreciate why people are sensitive to that mantra. i hate that line, too. but the substance of it is more or less
"involving yourself with the wrong person for the wrong reasons may be a mistake, but consequences for any mistake should never be rape, assault or any form of violation of your humanity -- that's 100% on the perpetrator. no matter how guilty or angry you feel, sacrificing these lives is wrong, too."

but i'm glad we had this discussion even if we don't see eye to eye :)
