Unfortunately it seems SNSD will never get rid of the aegyo songs they still have to fit into their concerts, but the performances I saw that had their better choreography were honestly really good and I was kind of surprised. I'm ALL about Chain Reaction (it better get a televised performance) and Karma Butterfly continues to deliver life to me upon a silver platter. Flower Power was also really good and so was the intro to Genie. I hope they take this time where everyone is watching them to really deliver with their next comeback and continue on this positive streak the concert put them on because this could really help pull SME out of the trenches if they get SNSD together and keep them going and treat them well/encourage them well.

Want me to write you a list?! XD

My cousin was there and said that she liked this concert better than SNSD's "Third Japan Tour". The girls tried harder and didn't look too bored on stage, even though some chores were still half-assed. Jessica's absence was present, especially during her parts. She said that some fans around her visibly cringed when Tiffany sang Jessica's lines.
All in all, it was a decent concert, my cousin told me.

I usually cringe when Tiffany sings these days, especially when she's trying to reach for those high notes...So hearing her cover Jessica's parts (especially the ad libs) had me cringing so hard that I think my eye starting twitching at some point. Tiffany actually sounded pleasant in Great Escape and Bad Girl and she was fine in RDR, Galaxy Supernova, Blue Jeans and Do the Catwalk since the lines that she covered required a lower pitch.

But on a serious note, they really should only let Taeyeon or Seohyun (and maybe Sunny) take on Jessica's more difficult lines (namely the ad libs) because they can manage those lines and have Yoona or Sooyoung do the easier ones. Yoona really took me by surprise with the amount of lines she covered (cuz she did a lot for someone not in the vocal line imo) and the best part was that she sounded quite fine doing them, like in Divine. And the funniest thing is that she's supposed to be the weakest vocalist in SoShi but she sounded decent. You go Yoong! Sooyoung did well also doing Genie, Gee, Paparazzi and Mr.Taxi. I'm proud of both of my girls! SM really needs to give them more challenging lines in the future.

I found a good number of fancams too (where you actually see the girls properly because those are ridiculously hard to find sometimes OTL). So if you need any just let me know! :)

I love Yoona's voice! It has such a pretty quality to it. Hers and Sooyoung's I'd say. Yuri/Hyoyeon I'd say are the weakest in the group.

I'm really beginning to appreciate Yoona's voice. She has a lovely tone. But Sooyoung is my bias so I kind of love her voice more lol XD Sooyoung definitely has a lot of potential if she practices hard enough because her voice has the perfect pitch for some high notes ^-^

However, my fave voice in all of SoShi is Seohyun's (even though she gets the #3 bias spot for me ;D).

I'd say Hyoyeon is the weakest, but I'm not really too sure because I don't particularly like the gravely tone of her voice ._. Yuri does pretty well when she sticks to her natural lower register and she does okay with higher notes as well. She has quite a bit of potential too.

Man, SM really needs to start utilizing the dance line some more because they are all pretty decent singers. We can't be giving all the good lines to the vocal line OTL

Hmm, I'd respectfully disagree. Especially on Yuri.

Yuri and Hyoyeon totally slayed and their voices are definitely underrated because these girls can totally carry a tune! ;)

This is exactly why we need another SoShi sub-unit! Gimme that SHY gloriousness now SM! XD

Bittersweet. 💔

Cringing/sighing internally/heavily rolling my eyes at Tiffany's taking over of Jessi's lines. Plz no. She really needs to work w/ a professional vocal trainer to fix the screeching she's been doing for awhile. It's obvious she's struggling w/ her own lines... Why SME doesn't distribute the rest of Jessi's lines to other members (Sunny, Yuri) instead of throwing almost all of those lines to Tiff, I'll never understand. /minirant

Sooyoung and Yoona have lovely tones. Yoona really surprised me in "My Oh My' and Sooyoung surprised me with 'Sway.' It's a shame that we aren't able to hear more of them sing because I love how DIsney Princess they sound.

Yuri and Hyoyeon have husky voices that don't fit in SNSD songs. When they're given something like 'I Am' they're able to shine more but they're also the members who I don't see growing in terms of range.

Hey I never said that they couldn't sing but when put with the other members, these two are very limited in range. They slayed here because the song fits their voices and vocal range.

...I didn't say that's what you were saying?

I was just disagreeing on Yoona/Sooyoung being better, since I don't think I've ever heard either Yoona or Sooyoung sound this decent; thus, I put forth my evidence. :-)

Lol, then we'll agree to disagree. Because despite how well they sound in 'I Am' they're still the weakest singers in my opinion.

I could see not liking their voices over the others, but I think Yoona is the weakest singer in terms of what her voice is capable of performing. It's sweet and lovely, but often thin. Hyoyeon's voice is great, but I'd agree that because it's better suited for the lower register, it may seem like she can't sing. I think if she was given more opportunity to actually sing it would do the whole group good in terms of balancing the songs because her voice is far richer (http://kim-choding.tumblr.com/post/105535615590) than Yoona's.

But I guess girl groups are fond of the high pitchy vocals, so she and Yuri may be better suited in a different kind of group.

Nah, I agree completely. Hyoyeon and Yuri's voices are richer, while Yoona and Sooyoung's are thinner. They're competent at sweet and high, but that's about it.

Yoona and Sooyoung just need more training to get better range. They already do have a better range than most people would think. Yuri and Hyoyeon have husking voices, and I love husky singing voices (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgOz5Upf1s0), but they don't have much range at all. They sounded great in 'I Am' for that specific reason. The song didn't demand much from them in terms of singing. That's what I mean by them being the weakest in the group. It has nothing to do with their singing voices but from them having the least range out of the group.
