Bye Felicia: Shindong Will Be Leaving Radio Show After 6 Years

Super Junior member Shindong will be leaving his MBC radio show “Shindong’s Shim Shim Ta Pa” after six years. The next DDJ for the show will be Jung Joon Young.

While a representative of MBC said that Shindong’s departure and the new DJ have not been confirmed, it has been reported that the radio show’s staff and Shindong have discussed the matters already. Reasons for leaving the show include Shindong’s desire to focus on his work with Super Junior and his entrance to military conscription.

After appearing for the first time on “Shim Shim Ta Pa” with Kim Shin Young back in 2008, he became the one-man DJ for the show up until now.

Jung Joon Young was chosen to lead the show as he has become the new favorite entertainer through his variety show appearance in “1 Night and 2 Days.”

In my head SSTP is a Super Junior show, so this will definitely take some time to get used to.

he def hit those buttons harder than a lot of groups i even paid attention to. like his weird-ass obsession with outing his fellow idols is really thirsty and disgusting. he's also said a lot of transphobic (and obviously racist) things as well. just a waste of space. if he was slightly talented (at his actual job of singing and dancing) and less aggressively offensive maybe people would like him more.
obv people shit on him more for also being fat but that could also be because he was talking shit about fat women, acting like his fat is more acceptable bc women have to be svelte and sensually attractive to men, but men don't bc women aren't as superficial. as evidenced by all the tv shows and movies where men who have tummies can be married to thin ~*beautiful*~ chicas who care about their heart more than their body~~~ and fat/chubby girls just eat cheesepuffs at home praying to get a man or being some thin girl's best friend with great advice.

And yeah, I can't stand his homophobic/transphobic ass. For example he bashed Sungjong a lot on Beatles Code for being ~feminine~ and the poor kid looked so upset and sad. He wasn't the only one who picked on him because the other MCs were equally disgusting but he really mocked him a lot and basically shamed him for not being ~manly enough~. It was so gross.

And don't get me started on his "men can be fat but women can't". Like sit your fucking ass down. Women aren't obligated to be ~thin and beautiful~ and assuming that women only care about the inside is such a shitty gender stereotype.
