This is one of the many reasons why I love PD-nim. He is just so great, and this brings out so many emotions. Is this one of the reasons why on the official Facebook page Lunafly is described as a "post idol boyband?" lol

I love Lunafly because I love their songs.

I mean, that might seem like a basic reason, but that's why. The beats are good, the Korean and English versions of most of their songs are both awesome... just, good times.

It doesn't HURT that Sam openly worships BoA, of course.

You can't forget CL. He was just calling her an ideal type the other day on his radio show when LC9 were on. E.Den said CL was his type, and Am joked around say they would have to fight for her. ool

I appreciate CL, but BoA is my Queen eternal, so...

Yeah, Sam's quite in love with her, so you're in good company. (Thank you Halmoni for sending him BoA CDs in the mail when he was younger!)

Sam's name also amuses the hell out of me.

I mean, even when you have Western raised people, they're usually like, Brian Joo, Eric Mun, and then you have Sam Carter. It's not horrible, it just sort of Sam Carter makes me think of some stuffy accountant. I delight in the fact that Sam is NOT what I would expect.

Yes, he's really not what you'd expect. If you listen to his radio show, you'll find him saying a lot of surprising things. Like for example, a few weeks ago he said he knows Picasso well because he's an artist his dad loves, and that he has seen and loves the Nutcracker. Part of me thinks he is only cultured like that since he's European, but I don't know really know that for a fact as an American. Compare all that to the Royal Pirates interview where they all forgot they were on air and Sam said things like, "Living in LA must have been great. I mean, there are no beaches in London," or even when he says he has had a chatroom open with his London friends for a long time and they talk about mean things he can't say on air.

Sam's last name is Carter because he is British on his father's side and only Korean on his mother's side. But how much do you love his full name Samuel Imgyu Carter? I think it fits him so well and is so beautiful/handsome. Most of the time I don't like when parents inserting ethnic names along side Western or non-ethnic names (does that even make sense?) because it feels out of place, however Imgyu really works. Imgyu even means forest, and I can see how he is like a forest.

They are geniuses at that! I don't know how they do it. I know the "R" sound is very hard for Koreans, and yet Yun rolled his "R"s in Corre perfectly. Amazing, amazing, amazing!

I am in love with Yun's voice. Absolutely effortless and powerful.

I must admit though I was disappointed in their full album. Everything they released before it was amazing, so I was let down. =(

Yes, bless them. I meet some of the most wonderful people all over the world because of Lunafly.

I love Lunafly for many reasons. One reason is because of the Lukie fandom. There is no real distinction between official/Korean Lukies and international Lukies. I know many groups do that a lot, and companies give people who are part of the offical fanclub many perks international fans don't get. Nega Network and Lunafly make all Lukies feel close to them and part of one giant family (Sam says we're a family ALL the time). Just look at what their PD-nim posted above. He also follows, RTs, and/or shares things various fanbases and Lukies post. Just the other day he was sharing on Facebook about different fan projects for Yun's birthday. I love that and couldn't ask for more. (Well except for Lunafly to come to Chicago, but we'll have to wait and see if that will happen. lol)

Another reason is their music. It's so easy to see how dedicated Sam Imgyu Cater, Shin Taeho, and Han Seunghun are about music. It shows though in all their songs and performances. Besides, not many Kpop groups release 95% of all their song in Korean AND English. That's something special, and the main reason why I started stanning Lunafly. They also write and compose most of their songs and aren't afraid to try many different genres. Sam even said he wanted to try EVERY genre even going so far as to specify gangsta rap in one interview. I can't imagine them doing it, but hey, let them try it! Their musical inspiration are amazing too! Sam's is will.i.am, Teo's is pop-jazz singer Jamie Collum, and Yun's is Eric Clapton (I can see the guitar influences). You don't get answers like that from many people in Kpop. What you also don't get is people like Teo who say their favorite genre is jazz and want their group to record an instrumental jazz album.

Another reason is the relationship between the members. Sugar-high, random, sassy Teo can be a handful and give Leader a headache and cause Yun to join in on pranks, but you can tell how much they love one another. Sure Sam and Teo may tease Yun relentlessly about his sausage lips or when fans talk about how much them love him and/or his singing, but I don't think Yun let's that bother him even if he pushes his bandmates away or hides his face. They're brothers, and you can tell that.

Sam is the wise, more experienced hyung who knows what to do to lift up the atmosphere and calm Yun and Teo down when things get out of hand (or Teo is causing Yun to laugh uncontrollably as the case may be). He is the leader due to being the eldest and had a hard time in the beginning as there was a language barrier. Now, well, he only has trouble understanding Teo's mixture of English ("Tenglish"), Korean, and onomatopoeias sometimes and is someone Teo and Yun can truly lean on.

I think it can be said that Teo keeps Sam young, though sometimes I think the stress Teo's antics bring can age Sam. Most of all Teo is Lunafly's mood maker, and that plays into the relationship he has with Sam and Yun. He is the only member that likes aegyo and will force his bandmates to perform it because 1. it's part of his sassy nature and he likes messing with them that way and 2. he knows the fans love it. He also is the member that can cause Yun to bend over and laugh so much he doesn't breathe. I know from experience that only truly good friends can cause that reaction. Teo and Yun were the first two members who came together, so it's no wonder that they can sit down, jam, and make wonderful music from nothing. It takes a great understanding of music and the people you're playing with to be able to do that. Add in Sam with his love of a wide variety of music (is there a genre he DOESN'T like?), and you've got another something special.

Now shy, maknae Yun. He is the one fans say has a heavenly voice, and the one who can be coerced into doing wacky things with Teo. Play a prank on Sam on his special day? Why he would never! Teo said a few words, and the two are are off to prank their leader into getting into an elevator half naked. (I totally flipped out when I heard that story.) I think he is they type of guy who would be happy simply with a guitar and the ability to sing. He also seemed so content in the beginning of a Lunafly Music TV episode where he was playing various guitar riffs before a gig. It gave me the impression that music is something Yun was meant to be doing. (I'm so glad he wasn't put in that dancing idol group that he started out training for.) All that leads Yun to be a great person for Sam to come together with and write wonderful music. (Teo's love of jazz helps with that too.)

lol I wrote a novel seeing as the writer in me got carried away. tl;dr I REALLY, REALLY love Lunafly.

I like Lunafly because their music is soothing and they can play instruments and write their own songs. I hope they can continue to create music they want to make. It surely helps that they're cute. Oh and Yun's voice is like melted chocolate in a lava cake.

I wouldnt say I love them but their spanish cover got me so into them and the more i listen, the more i like them.and sam is a sweetheart

That cover moved me SO much. Yun's Spanish drove me wild. Sam is SUCH a sweetheart, and I've fallen more than a little for him.

I love their music, mostly because they are a great combination between pop and more acoustic sounds as well as their brilliant lyrics. Plus the English versions of their songs and their covers are amazing.

I also love how accepting and aware they are of the international fandom (through Super K-Pop and their tours), especially as they're going to be coming to Europe soon!

All in all, they are pretty amazing.

They are charming and make different kind of kpop music. Something new and fresh. I love them with all my heart. They trying to manage overseas concert in Eu. (think about Tunesia) and keep contact with us international fans. Talk with us and being so friendly... Really young band and right in the first studio album they make englsih version (CD) to all songs. Talendted and lovely boys. Thats the secret to the succes :)

I love Lunafly because their music never fails to make me happy, and there is only one other act which does that (Akdong Musician). Their music is the ideal stuff to study to, to read to, to write to, to just listen to. It's chill when you need it to be, upbeat and intriguing when you need it to be. Also all of the boys just have lovely, lovely voices and they have some of the best harmonies I've ever heard.

I love them primarily for their music seeing as I don't know the boys all that well. But I do know that Sam is incredibly, indescribably talented at songwriting, Yun has a glorious voice and Teo seems to be able to play any instrument that gets handed to him. More than just liking them, I respect them. I hope they go far.

They're very charming. Sam is so engaging onstage.
