Kpop Rising guest: indie group ICYCIDER on Part 5 (They are fabulous and have yodeling; let's all get to know them more.)
Highlight of 6/20's show posted below: "I think there's music for every mood. Music for every memory as well whether it be sad, happy, to get you excited, make you dance, to make you chill out. There's just everything... It can be very healing, music I think. Whenever I used to get down, I just used to listen to music. It would get me back up... So when you feel down, when you feel sick, listening to the right kind of music is important... Find your musical medication." Sam Carter
Beat and Bounce with Jinbo starts 0:29 on Part 5.
Talk, Talk, Talk with Punita (she makes it all to easy to ship them ^__^) starts at 4:40 on Part 4
Highlight: How Punita and Sam's parents meet. Punita is romantic; Sam is not. Their love for Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson. Punita's song "Indian Doll" was used in Monstar!

Date: 2013-06-26 04:29 am (UTC)I don't know what weight the listener was talking about. Teo's tall and thin if you ask me. I also think things like weight are better left unsaid. Who likes being told they gained weight anyway? Very, very few people.

Date: 2013-06-26 08:19 am (UTC)Also, as a teacher in Japan, I've noticed that when when many boys grow up, they go through a stage when they first go through a growth spurt and get taller but stay awkwardly thin, and then they suddenly start to fill out more. It's not that they're gaining weight in the way we think about it, but that they are just growing. On a slightly humorous note, I remember a few of my Vietnamese guy friends back in college trying very hard to gain weight, and got really happy whenever they did gain a few pounds. XD
I don't know about Korea, but at least in Japan, it's way more acceptable to talk about people's weights like that. So I wasn't surprised. But it doesn't make it any less hurtful.

Teo may act sugar high, random and sassy, but I believe he is a sensitive person and comments about his weight and looks bother him. He basically said yesterday in a live tweet interview with MelOn Indonesia that the reason that he cut his hair so he won't be mistaken as a girl anymore and that it made him feel strange. I see him being sensitive in that comment.

Date: 2013-06-26 09:17 am (UTC)Aw, that's why he cut his hair? His hair gave him character, though. The bangs were a bit girly, but they framed his face so nicely! I think right now his hair is a little bit too short and too groomed (does that make sense? XD), but if he let it grow a little and styled it, it might start to match his face better.
