I only really got into them last year, but damn I fell fast and hard lol. Though I remember really loving Beautiful and Need U back then. I still enjoy that era so much. I'm slighty annoyed because they played so many shows in Los Angeles in the past and I never bothered because I wasn't into them before lol.

I've never been able to get into dramarama, I guess it's a fan favorite judging by the results?

Basically an mbb ran into him and asked about his eyes and he said he was doing okay. And then she said she was sad he was going to miss the cb and he says, “How did you know?” Like, SIR???

I asked if his eyes were okay and he said they were and I said I was sad he was missing the promos and he asked how did I know and I said they announced itㅋㅋㅋ I told him he’s lost weight and he said he’s actually gained some… His face was so thin his mask was almost hanging loose…

I told him I just saw Hyungwon and he said they were here together. Then we just talked about some other stuff before he left… It’s been a really long time… but it’s like I saw him yesterday… He’s exactly the sameㅋㅋ”

Oh yeah, they came to SF once when I was living there but I was still casual at that point so I didn’t want to bother and then they never came back

I have a lot of MX regrets though lol, I lived ACROSS THE STREET from Starship during 2014-2016 and saw the members on the block and around the neighborhood a bunch of times, and still I didn’t really care about or like them until after I moved back to the freaking states lol. My life choices…
It was actually Dramarama that first piqued my interest and it’s still one of my favorites! I know it’s definitely a kfan favorite.

Alligator is the one I love that no one else seems to like lolol

I voted for Jealousy, such an underrated title track. I feel like that's when Monsta X started to really get into their actual styling, and they brought harnesses into fashion! Too bad the MV isn't as great though. Apparently the Chaekkung/Hyungkyun shippers voted like crazy for Jealousy lol

I wish Beautiful got into the ranks, I know that Dramarama is a fan favorite because it's their number 1 win, but Beautiful deserves more :(

Their choreo definitely became better and stronger from Beautiful onwards. For months I was obsessed and kept watching the dance practices for Jealousy/Shoot Out/Beautiful/Alligator

I'd exchange Dramarama outfits with Alligator, like helloooo at this Shownu



Also makes me wish MX would go to the Met Gala and show them how to fashion, lol

And this alligator stage was the one that piqued my interest, because again, hellooooo Shownu


This past year has been a lot of ups and downs, but they solidified their strength as six, so let's hope their cb will go smoothly! Anyway I love them, I wish their new variety stuff aren't behind paywalls tho because they've released a loooot

whew, am i late to this post

i still have the 2nd anniversary (https://omonatheydidnt.livejournal.com/20350137.html) post for mx on my journal! and i still look at it, but it's crazy to think the last time i made one was in... 2017, wow. i know it's been a long time since i got into them but it honestly doesn't feel that long! it was that lull between rush and that 1st the clan mini—when changkyun & minhyuk were injured—and my interest in kpop was more casual then too. like, mx weren't the first kpop group i got into but they're the ones who stuck w/ me the longest. i wish i'd been able to see them more TT tho... their early tours i had to travel for, thx boston (and i did, for the beautiful one) but i only saw them as 7 once (at jingle ball & i missed their collab stage with the chainsmokers so i didn't see that much of them that night kajbkj)

jealousy is still my absolute favorite mx title track (followed by rush, love killa) and i really do wish it had a better rep in the fandom! i loved them doing that more, pure pop sound and i think it suits them really well... was really disappointed that it was a one-off thing, pretty much

No Mercy was so counterproductive for me, I watched a bit of one episode after I learned about them and was so offput by some of the members that it took me a long time to come around lol. And yeah, clearly it was ultimately a good call to put Changkyun in the group but the way they brought him in was just farcical.

MX-ray is one of my pop culture happy places. The episodes with the babies (+ the Twotuckbebe series!) are still some of my go-tos when I need a blast of serotonin

mte! KH holding up that tiny bb's head as he fell asleep while eating!!! I can never forget lol. For some reason I was way behind with Twotuckbebe and watched everything at once. I loved it! But it was an overdose of cute lol, would've been better spaced out over time for that reason alone.
