Good for her :)

I do wonder though... I remember when it was decided that ex exo member activities were not supposed to be posted here on omona because they weren’t ‘kpop’ anymore, but rather cpop. Is there gonna be a point where Amber and her American music is gonna be perceived to not belong in this community anymore or is she forever gonna be ‘kpop’ because she was in a kpop girl group for so long?

I like seeing her posts on here, but it just made me think :)

I think things have changed since then? I hadn’t been on omona when they left, but I think it’s shifted to supporting your favorites and staying updated on their career whether it’s kpop or not. Plus omona isn’t as lively as back then (ontd has the same issue) so maybe mods are more relaxed on it since there’s less content being posted already.

To me this is the same as Tiffany from SNSD - her music is not kpop anymore but since she has dedicated fans, they still try to promote her even though she’s not making music for Korea. I remember someone on ONTD bringing up how even though a former kpop artist is releasing American music, a lot of Americans who are not into kpop aren’t checking on their work yet (for example people I know who are into non mainstream music still have no clue who Tiffany is) so kpop fans will promote them hoping more people will catch onto their new songs and help get the ball rolling if they can.

Sorry for the long comment - I agree I enjoy seeing Amber posts on here! I really like her and want to see her do well, that’s all lol! I’d be bummed if we couldn’t discuss her new stuff
