i mean... okay, but i don’t agree with the classification of acts in subgenres like that, it’s a usually a way of distancing pop & it’s pretentious. but, for example, my favorite idol group has released songs with 3 with of the mentioned subgenres; while they debuted with a rap / hip-hop concept, they’ve done clear rock songs, along with edm singles. and my fave, yes, idol group is monsta x to be totally transparent, but a ton of idol groups align with those subgenres... what idol pop fans state as “concepts” while still clearly believing they’re kpop
and indie isn’t, nor will ever, a genre so jot that down. suran might not be on a major label / big 3 company but indie literally tells me nothing about an artist, in the same vein that kpop tells me nothing about the genre groups, in particular, perform
