park hyungsik is so pretty, it's ridiculous.
these three will give us all the feelings and I'm ready to be completely torn between the two couples, can we not have a love triangle and just make jisoo a friend of both of them?! lol

I would never expect to be so excited for this drama as I am. I blame my recent hyungsik feelings. I finally watched high society (well, basically only the scenes with him and/or jiyeon. the rest is A MESS) + hwarang. and now I already have a new drama with him to watch. it's like an overdose lol

i'm maybe halfway on High Society, but i'm getting bored of it.

I tried to watch everything with eps 1 and 2. after that, I spent a couple of eps skipping every family drama with uee's character. after another couple of eps, I ff every single scene that didn't have hyungsik or jiyeon. for the last 4 eps, I only wanted changsoo and jiyi. I'm not 100% happy with their ending tbh, but I enjoyed all their moments during the whole thing, so it's ok.

it's a really mediocre drama. not just the writing was terrible, but the main couple's acting was ridiculous and they had Z E R O chemistry. I remember the teasers when they first got released and it's such a lie lol if it wasn't for hs and jy's chemistry and their overall storyline, I would NEVER watch it until the end lol

edited to add: if you started watching because of hyungsik, you can perfectly skip everything that he's not a part of lol although I think he's starting to be typecasted (the rich kid), I think he did a really good job. and all his scenes with jy are amazing. they were cute but not juvenile. you can feel the tension and attraction that their character were supposed to feel for each other.

i did start watching for hyungsik, but now it's just nothing now.

ugh, i can't believe i wasted my time watching high society. it just dragged on and they could have done so much more with the plot but nope, it just didn't happen. it was so boring that i really couldn't even be bothered any more. plus uee's acting has always been so mediocre to me and she had zero chemistry with her love interest. the synopsis of the drama sounded great but the execution of it was extremely lacking.

hwarang has it's moments but it could be so much better if they developed the plot properly and gave the characters better opportunities to show their growth or better yet, the relationship between the hwarangs.

all in all, i can't believe how many dramas hyungshik (and park seojoon) have me watching just because they're in it OTL

I feel the same about hwarang. so much stuff happens off-screen that I just can't relate at all. like they're suddenly talking about how they're friends and risking their own lives for each other and the last thing we saw was all of them fighting against each other. I THINK the writer is new so it could be just a matter of getting more experience and fixing this writing. the amount of time that we spent with the romance is a bit ridiculous esp because the promo for this drama was always about the relationship between the guys (for real.. go ara was not even on their group photoshoot). I also wanna complain about the make up. they all look like sick people with non-colour lips. NOT TO MENTION THE WIGS lol

I still can believe I watched the whole high society thing. well, idk if I can say I watched because I was basically doing a hyungsik/jiyeon cut with every ep lol I must admit that I did a bit less for park seojoon only because I couldn't get into his lovelines AT ALL (apart from witch romance)

Funny enough, for a drama called Hwarang, you would think that you'd see more of the hwarangs. Give me more eye candy, badassery, hijinks and bromance. Less of the tired old love triangle and drama.

Those wigs are so tragic. Only Hyungshik and Taehyung could manage to make those wigs acceptable because their visuals are no joke. I am literally in awe every single time I see them on screen because they're so gorgeous. I find all the other hwarang good looking too but they really aren't pulling off those wigs at all...especially Seojoon OTL It's hard to ogle Seojoon's fine self with his wig distracting me all the time -_-

High Society was a disappointment all around. The only good thing about it were the second leads. Their story line was way more interesting and they were so cute together. It's like how I felt with BOF...I could care less about LMH and GHS but I was shipping Kim So Eun and Kim Bum so hard. I really wish we had more scenes with them or even a spin off. Actually, give me a drama starring those two so I can spazz. Their chemistry was ridiculous.

The last drama I watched with Seojoon was She Was Pretty and jeez, the synopsis was so shallow just like Birth of a Beauty. But I stuck through it and watched it to the end. Seojoon and HJE were actually pretty cute together so I can't even hate but the way their relationship was written was all over the place at some points. Okay well no, the way it progressed was a little strange. Because seriously, one minute he's not that into her and the next minute he's in love with her. Then boom they're together because he finds out that she's his long lost love! I agree with you about Witch's romance.

Bottom line, Seojoon and Hyungshik need to pick better dramas because I can't support these oppas if I don't even want to watch their dramas OTL
