I'm... confused? So he told a girl to lose weight because she's a woman? That's... weird.

Well, its not like his group is hot right now so I'm sure he's not coming back to being at the apex of his popularity. Super Junior aint Big Bang. (not that Big Bang isn't much better in terms of being problematic.)
