RDD is one of their biggest hits, their best digital performer alongside Replay.

Mte on Seventeen's Sorry Sorry, and i aint even sorry for saying that lol

[identity profile] missingmisnomer.livejournal.com 2015-09-12 01:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep! It makes total sense for rookies to do the school concept while they are still fresh and energetic

[identity profile] 21banged.livejournal.com 2015-09-12 01:39 pm (UTC)(link)
I want to destroy the cameramen omfg I saw more of the crowd than the perfs what kind of bs

MAMAMOO remain flaw free, I love how they always incorporate other artists' songs into their own, I've been waiting for a group/singer/anyone to start doing this lol

SEVENTEEN babies were amazing, barely got to see Wonwoo and Jun but I bet they were still looking fine as fuck

SHINee will always be amazing performers, I'm so glad they performed RDD it was my fave song at one point

Red Velvet's song is really growing on me, Yeri seems to have gotten really really pretty since I last saw her lol

ALSO I will always be super pressed no one ever sing's BB or 2NE1 songs for these 'legacy' things, like Haru Haru and Lies were iconic bastardssss

DED OMG ILY

[identity profile] 21banged.livejournal.com 2015-09-12 01:41 pm (UTC)(link)
srsly I was so pissed! And then when they tried to take a long shot it was out of focus and they left it like that for ages >:@

[identity profile] 21banged.livejournal.com 2015-09-12 01:42 pm (UTC)(link)
HAHAHAHA WHAT

[identity profile] gathyou.livejournal.com 2015-09-12 01:45 pm (UTC)(link)
I wish more groups would do remix like Seventeen did for Sorry Sorry, it had interest, especially for a song that we have already seen so much. Like Red Velvet sounded good but their No.1 had no life.

SHINee! Aw I always found RDD absolutely ridiculous but it brings back so many memories. I wished they would have gone with Lucifer instead.
Also, why was the camera man filming the crowd during Taemin's freaking dance solo??? Why would you do that???

Poor Girls' Generation and the curse of Gee. They're obviously so fed up with this song. Yet bringing the new gen on stage to dance as well was really cute!
Sonamoo were loosing it when Yoona got close to them aw.
Was Wendy the only one singing along? Not surprised since RV seems to knows them but it could have been nice to have more of them singing :)

JUNHO!!!!!!!! [2]
he is so unbelievably incredible im going to melt

[identity profile] hitthoselightz.livejournal.com 2015-09-12 01:48 pm (UTC)(link)
the camera work was a god damn mess. its like the camera man was a troll and did this on purpose

seventeen - right now its all about mingyu and no one else tbqh

rv - i want them to have songs like no.1 so bad bc no.1 is one of the best kpop songs tbh and they looked good in trackies

junho must stop yesterday

Mamamoo...you girls rocked that stage, that mashup remix was awesome!

[identity profile] xilopia.livejournal.com 2015-09-12 02:47 pm (UTC)(link)
the camera work was awful but i almost can't bring myself to care because shinee did ring ding dong!! lol i was so excited for this i went on quite the rant on twitter yesterday. i'm so happy they actually went for it (but when do shinee not go hard, really?) and they looked so good! i was basically a goner from the moment jonghyun went 'babyyy'. i want shinee to continue this trend of performing their older songs for official broadcasts (maybe juliette can be next?)

i haven't finished watching the other performances (mainly because i keep going back to rdd) but while i liked seventeen's energy i prefer the original version of sorry sorry more.

also i'm really upset how at the camera decided to zoom out just when red velvet do the robot dance for dumb dumb. it's the best part, why wouldn't you show it properly??

[identity profile] xilopia.livejournal.com 2015-09-12 02:57 pm (UTC)(link)
lol i've been thinking the same thing ever since jjong called it the devil's song on bn even though lucifer is actually named after the devil. actually, a couple of days ago when key was doing the v app thing with red velvet, the girls mentioned how they hoped people would find dumb dumb catchy just like rdd and when they started singing it key had this look of horror on his face. it was pretty hilarious.

i even think key mentioned rdd when he was doing my little television, saying something along the lines of 'sometimes when it's silent i can hear it playing in my head' which tbf seems a kind of terrifying.

so shinee definitely seem to feel some type of way about rdd haha (except for minho who seems to love it idek why)

Isn't that View though? It's been 4 months and the song still pops up on melon sometimes. I don't remember any other of their singles charting for so long tbh.

[identity profile] gray-fairy.livejournal.com 2015-09-12 03:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Exactly. Not to mention that unlike EXO their age is much more suitable for the school boy concept since almost all of them are in their late teens (aka, typical high school age), while quite a few of EXO were already in their 20s when they did the school boy concept.

[identity profile] supersunshiner.livejournal.com 2015-09-12 03:20 pm (UTC)(link)
zoom out on rv's entire performance why dont u
yeri is the smallest cutest sone ever tbh

[identity profile] ixakaixa.livejournal.com 2015-09-12 03:33 pm (UTC)(link)
finally RDD again
I was happy this morning bc they're doing the remixed one but then the camerawork was a total mess and they missed taemin's solo dance

also I love RV's No.1 bc I love that song and yeri is sooo cute <3

[identity profile] yw7.livejournal.com 2015-09-12 03:54 pm (UTC)(link)
SHINee continues to remain the top kpop group.

[identity profile] thomaswilmoore.livejournal.com 2015-09-12 04:14 pm (UTC)(link)
I like the old songs stages.
I wish HyunA did Change, though, it would be awesome. Or maybe a Hyori Lee cover of Get Ya, god, it would be great too.

[identity profile] gray-fairy.livejournal.com 2015-09-12 04:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw I always found RDD absolutely ridiculous
LMAO. The other day someone commented that Bang Bang Bang was "great trash" and I think RDD is exactly this. Trash but the kind of jammable trash you enjoy unapologetically.

[identity profile] kirrita.livejournal.com 2015-09-12 04:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I shud be flailing about SHINee! but but but Park Choongjae-ah!!!!

[identity profile] icedevil0289.livejournal.com 2015-09-12 04:21 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll take rdd any day over lucifer.

[identity profile] bri-and-red.livejournal.com 2015-09-12 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Agreed, though the camera work was awful

[identity profile] byeolbyeol.livejournal.com 2015-09-12 04:42 pm (UTC)(link)
in terms of end of the year digital charting, yeah, rdd is. it was #39 on gaon's end of the year digital chart in 2009 and replay charted really well as well there considering it was a debut song. i have no idea how long rdd charted on gaon for on the weekly charts but view was #92 on the chart last week and that was it's fifteenth week of ranking on there, and it's higher on the streaming chart. it'll probably end up dropping off the digital chart with this next week's update or the week after that but it's already charted for longer than dream girl and sherlock did which were their best ranking digital single after that, so... idk, we'll have to wait until end of the year charts come out to be sure but it's for sure their best digital performer SINCE rdd.
